Our Home Away From Home in Cadiz, Spain

Our wee home for two months on the quiet street of Calle Santiago Terry.  These homes are very interesting.  Behind gated doors, are usually beautiful courtyards with stairs in the centre.  I believe ours has 12 units.

I have read that centuries ago, by hiding your wealth and prosperity, you would have a very simple, almost unappealing door way, so that no one would believe there would be value in robbing you.

We have all the comforts of home including a large fridge by European standards.  Usually they are 'bar size' which can't hold much.  They shop each day for fresh ingredients to make meals.
I love that about Europe.  We have been doing that as well.
The smells wafting from inside the courtyard are delicious in our units.

The costs is approximately $850. Canadian dollars per month?
Less by half of Toronto and Muskoka.

Airbnb was the place I found our wee apartment.  Our hosts name is Paco and he has been very helpful and informative about anything we have questions about.

I have to say, it was one of our best ideas ever to take a chance on coming here for a long stay.
I would highly recommend it.
