Showing The Gals Around Cadiz

The weather did not disappoint when Gail and Trudi visited.
You can see above their heads that Cadiz is beginning to decorate for Feliz Navidad or Merry Christmas!!!

Fun in Cadiz with our friends....no explanation needed.

Climbing the Cathedral Tower.

An impromptu 'Flash Mob' at the plaza in front of the Cathedral.

The dancers all kept their eyes of this lead as he danced and they followed.
Unbelievable.

A huge hit with everyone...As you can see we could not get close.

Roasted Chestnuts....yummy.
This is a real European tradition.

Can you see Trudi and Gail in the tree?  I will zoom in.......

.....there they are.

My best travel mate anywhere in the world...LD or Little Debbie.

Chiros at the market.
Our eyes and bellies say 'Delicious' but our arteries say 'Stop plugging us up.'
In moderation.....

Playing around in a museum.

The Gate Way to the Castillo de San Sebastian.....the second castle in Cadiz to explore.

Gorgeous day...everyone is walking out there.

The castle is actually built on a tiny island attached to Cadiz by a long walkway through the Atlantic Ocean right near La Caleta Beach.

In 1457 there was a chapel built out here.  The castle and fortress was built in 1706.
I wonder why everyone is milling around.....oh no.....
.....it is not opened.  There is restoration work happening and no visiting allowed.
Oh...poop....

No matter....it was a great stroll in the exhilarating breeze.

Blow holes....be careful LD.

We finished off that afternoon with fried fish...fresh from the ocean....potato salad....and drinks.
Excellent day.
