Getting Lost on An Island....Sort Of

These photos are at the end of a day of wandering and discovering in Cadiz.
We had just found our way....almost home....and came upon this Plaza which we didn't realize was a 2 minute walk from our apartment!
This is the Plaza de San Antonio and the church is of the same name.

The Church of San Antonio dates back to the 18th century.
This Plaza de San Antonio is where the 1812 Constitution was proclaimed.

We also, in this day, came upon the Gran Teatro Fallo, a grand theatre which features well known Operas and musicians.  The 'Barber of Seville' just finished.
It is a 19th century building, but resembles a much earlier architectural design.

In many tiny, narrow alleys that make up Cadiz, we find these amazing mosaics just arbitrarily decorating a wall.  I think I am going to find more and post because they look like they should be found in a museum.  The artistry is spectacular.

This shot is of a very, very quaint cafe.....on the corner.
The two patrons are both at a table outside.  Love these little gems dotting the maze of streets here.

Our monstrous tree again...this time LD is showing just how huge it is.
