Climbing the Cadiz Cathedral & the Views

The Cadiz Cathedral can be seen almost from anywhere in Cadiz.  It's two towers each are more than 40 meters high!  It is huge.  A perfect location, it is almost right at the waters edge.

"Why is no one answering the door?"

It is a Catholic Church built around the 17th century on the site of an original Gothic church from the 15th century.  It is cavernous.

The organ and double seating for the choir.

Incredible monuments and statues decorate this cathedral.

For only 5 euro, we toured the cathedral, including audio headsets with a taped tour and climbed the tower.  Oh yeah....come on LD we can do it.

It was quite steep, and then the last circular stairs were straight up.....but the views from the top....

PRICELESS!!!!
The city of Cadiz, Spain.

The second tower of the Cadiz Cathedral and the white washed building of this beautiful Spanish city.

I can see our apartment from here?  lol.  Directly across the city near the water.
Isn't that my laundry on the terrace roof?
That body of water view is of the Bay of Cadiz.

Playa de la Victoria and Playa de la Maria del Mar and the two beaches in the photo.
This is the Atlantic Ocean side.
The sunset side....more photos to come on that.

This cathedral bell chimed....when we were at the top.  I nearly jumped out of my skin.  LOUD....oh my gosh.

It's a long ways down this way....let's take the stairs.
The cafes below.
