The Theatre that we drove to in downtown St. Petersburg to see traditional Russian Folk dancing.
Which is still very important in the Russian culture. It was founded around the 10th century.
The costumes are so beautiful.
These three ladies had amazing voices but also had such expressive faces to tell their stories.
Girls begin very early learning these dances but also preparing their costumes. They are decorated with extraordinary embellishments. Gold and silver threads. Both the dresses and the head pieces.
The dancers looked as though they could all be ballerinas. Incredible postures, they flowed across the stage. Very beautiful women.
The cruise ship also had a performance on board of a Russian Dance troupe but seeing it in St. Petersburg, Russia was perfect in every way.
It lasted for about 2 hours....but I could have watched them all day.
