Church on Spilled Blood is named for the spot where Czar Alexander II was assassinated by a terrorist group. Unfortunately it is being restored on the outside, but you can still see how magnificent it is.
Incredible coloured mosaics surround and cover every inch of this Church.
It is a Russian Orthodox Church. Below is a tiny spot that clearly shows the mosaic pieces that cover this church on the inside with these masterpieces.
A view from the back shows it a little better. No photo, though, can do justice to this church.
