Our next great European travels begin.

It has been 4 years since Deb and I travelled to Europe on a big adventure.  We will be on a night flight to Copenhagen on the 25th of September, where we will begin a three month trip.
The sojourn starts with a Baltic Cruise from Copenhagen, Denmark which will include stops in Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland and Sweden on the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship.  Directly from there we start a month long trek through Eastern Europe.  Flying to the city of Berlin, Germany. Followed by a side trip to Krakow, Poland.  Sleeping on an overnight train we head to Prague, Czech Republic. In an Airbnb is the spot where we will be spending two months in Cadiz, Spain.
During the month long leg of our Eastern Europe exploration, our home base will be hostels in each of the big cities.  I know that you might be saying "oh no" but until you actually try it.....you do not know what you are missing.  Hostels, for the most part are geared to our age group, give or take a decade, who have the time and funds to travel the way they always wanted to.  Inexpensively, and 'through the back door' as Rick Steves says.  You are always in the heart of the sights, restaurants, old cities, etc.  You can be in a room of 4,6,8,10, or even higher, but you can also book a private room for two.  Because of this decision, Deb and I are able to travel more for less.
With the state of the world, we feel we need to see some of these places sooner than later.  Cadiz, Spain is the only spot we have been before on a cruise day 4 years ago.
Our bags are packed.  Everything is booked.  Passport in hand.  Saying good-bye to the trailer and the gorgeous Muskoka area for another 7 months.  Hugs and kisses to all our family and friends until May.
Thank you in advance if you decide to follow us through our travels.  Keeping in mind....if Deb and I can do it.....you can too!
